Defining Stathmos

Our mission

At Stathmos, we are dedicated to reshaping the future of energy through pioneering Direct Air Capture technology (DAC). Our mission focuses on harnessing the power of the atmosphere to capture CO₂ and transform it into renewable, sustainable fuels that address the urgent need for global decarbonization. By developing innovative and energy-efficient systems, we aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, combat climate change, and drive the transition toward a carbon-neutral future. With our advanced Statbox technology, we provide industries and communities with scalable solutions that combine ecological responsibility and cutting-edge innovation. Our commitment extends beyond technology, fostering a healthier planet for generations to come while contributing meaningfully to climate action on a global scale.

Our impact

Stathmos is redefining how CO₂ is captured, stored, and repurposed to create a tangible impact on climate change. Our advanced Statbox systems are capable of extracting up to 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere each year, setting a new benchmark for clean energy innovation. By capturing atmospheric CO₂ and transforming it into green fuels, our solutions simultaneously address industrial energy demands and significantly reduce the global carbon footprint. The captured CO₂ is either permanently stored in geological formations, preventing its return to the atmosphere, or utilized in industrial processes such as the creation of synthetic fuels and carbon-based materials. This dual-purpose approach aligns with our vision of empowering industries to adopt sustainable practices while actively reversing the effects of climate change. By bridging the gap between technology and environmental stewardship, Stathmos is driving the shift toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape.

Our objectives

Stathmos is focused on scaling its Direct Air Capture technology to meet ambitious global decarbonization goals. By 2030, we aim to deploy enough Statbox units to capture, avoid, and store 2.5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, significantly contributing to the reduction of atmospheric carbon. Looking further ahead, our roadmap envisions achieving a capture capacity of over 500 million tonnes per year by 2045, cementing our role as a global leader in carbon removal solutions.

This growth strategy is underpinned by our commitment to innovation, including the continuous improvement of our sorbent materials and processes to enhance scalability and energy efficiency. Our efforts also focus on deploying Statbox clusters at geological storage sites and integrating them into industrial facilities, providing versatile and impactful solutions across sectors. Stathmos actively collaborates with industries and governments worldwide to foster the adoption of carbon-neutral technologies, aligning our objectives with global climate targets. Through these efforts, we strive to lead the transition toward a sustainable energy future, ensuring a cleaner, healthier planet for generations to come.

Transforming Air into Power with Stathmos

At Stathmos, we have developed a proprietary sorbent material engineered to function as a high-selectivity molecular sieve, capturing CO₂ directly from ambient air with unparalleled efficiency. Utilizing an advanced chemisorption mechanism, this material selectively binds CO₂ molecules at the molecular level, allowing other gases, such as nitrogen and oxygen, to pass through freely. This breakthrough in material science underpins our commitment to scalable and energy-efficient carbon removal.

Our proprietary sorbent material is integrated into modular Statbox systems, each designed to capture up to 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. These systems operate using a continuous adsorption-desorption cycle, powered by low-grade thermal energy below 100°C and renewable electricity. The regeneration process releases concentrated CO₂, which can be directly utilized in downstream applications or stored securely. By leveraging low-temperature heat and on-site renewable energy sources, such as solar panels and wind turbines, our system minimizes energy inputs while maintaining exceptional efficiency.

The Statbox offers a groundbreaking approach to direct air capture, combining energy efficiency, eco-friendly operations, and industrial versatility. Unlike conventional solutions, our technology produces no harmful byproducts and reduces logistical emissions through its modular design, enabling direct deployment at emission or storage sites. Captured CO₂ can be permanently stored in geological formations, or utilized as a sustainable feedstock in the production of synthetic fuels, polymers, and even beverages, addressing the growing demand for industrial decarbonization.

By uniting advanced material science and sustainable engineering, Stathmos is setting a new standard in direct air capture technology. Our scalable solutions respond to the global need for effective carbon removal while supporting the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. Whether through CO₂ storage or industrial utilization, Stathmos is pioneering pathways for a sustainable future, providing industries with innovative, renewable, and impactful carbon management solutions.

Statbox by Stathmos: Revolutionizing Carbon Capture on Site

Localized on-site, the Statbox brings efficient CO₂ capture to where it matters most: at the source.

To provide carbon credits

The Statbox units, deployed in clusters on geological storage sites, ensure the permanent removal of CO₂ from the atmosphere. By storing carbon underground for centuries, these systems contribute to a growing market of verified carbon credits, supporting industries in achieving their climate goals.

to provide CO2 as raw material

On industrial sites, Statbox systems capture CO₂ directly from the air, eliminating the need for transportation and reducing associated emissions. This captured CO₂ serves as a sustainable raw material for applications such as synthetic fuel production, chemical manufacturing, and carbonated beverages, enabling industries to decarbonize efficiently.
